A Lifetime of Fascination
From building and breaking down computers in my teenage years to exploring website design more recently to support my wider career aspirations, technology has long played a central part in my life. I am deeply passionate and curious about technology and the unique role it plays in each of our lives. My deep fascination with the digital world lies at the heart of the thrill I feel when I can work with one of my clients to help them discover greater competence and confidence in using the technology that surrounds them.
Visual Storytelling
Throughout my career as an educator, project manager and fundraiser, I have told compelling stories with technology at their heart. From producing visually engaging lesson materials to stylish impact reports and visual media for prospective donors, effective design that meets the needs of an audience has been a central part of my professional life. This combination of clear communication and ability to bring a client's vision to life make me ideally suited to deliver these digital support services.
Digital Inclusion
I have volunteered for several years with a North London-based community initiative offering free digital training and support to help local residents gets to grips with the online world. This organisation offers basic advice and guidance on using smartphones, tablets and computers in a friendly, supportive environment, enabling learners to access key online services and improve their digital skills and confidence.
This has been a hugely rewarding experience. It has been a joy to discover my talent for unpicking technological problems and become more ingrained in my local community.
Freelance Web Design
As I move into the next phase of my life and career, I have taken the exciting step to share my fascination with technology, ability to find effective and lasting solutions to even the most frustrating of issues and skill in delivering striking design with those who need to deepen their engagement with the digital world.
